Robinsons copy

Happy Thursday!

My top pick for Thursday is Robinson Structures.

Robinson Structures are a modern, family-owned, customer-focused construction company specialising in projects involving structural steelwork, built upon three generations of the Robinson family.

The Robinson family and their highly skilled colleagues have been producing and building steel frames since the 1950s when Sidney Robinson, the father of current Managing Director Steve Robinson, began refurbishing and extending existing agricultural buildings. From these humble beginnings the Robinson family name has grown into one of the most recognised in the industry.

We do believe that Robinson Structures is a business that Derby can be proud of.

To find out if Robinsons can help you visit their website or give them a call on 01332 574 711.

DANCINGDUCK

Happy Wednesday!

My top pick for Wednesday is the Dancing Duck Brewery.

Dancing Duck brewery was founded by husband and wife team Ian and Rachel in December 2010.

Ian has worked as a brewery design engineer for 14 years, his job has taken him all over the world from Newcastle to Africa to Bury St Edmonds to the Caribbean to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and then back to Burton on Trent again.

He figures out the design for the breweries and how they will run most efficiently whilst having the least impact on the environment, then when they have been built, he goes off and makes sure they all work properly. He loves real ale and has been drinking it for as long as he can remember but it was actually his wife who came up with the idea to open a brewery.

It’s Rachel who runs the brewery on a day-to-day basis, as far as she is concerned brewing is the best job she’s ever had, “it’s immensely satisfying producing something that you know people have been looking forward to all day or week and are going to really enjoy.”Tweet them @dancingduckbeer or call them on 01332 205582. Why not visit one of their pubs which can be located on Langley Street and Exeter Place, both of which are located in Derby.

Happy Tuesday.

My top pick today is Tiddlekicks. Tiddlekicks is a pre-school football coaching programme specifically designed for children aged between 6 months to 5 years, with sessions running right throughout Derbyshire.

TiddleKicks

Tiddlekicks help to develop a range of fundamental skills for children within a non-competitive environment, meaning that regardless of gender, sporting preference or age, their playful and fun Tiddlekicks exercises are able to improve your child’s mental and physical development.

Ran by the ever enthusiastic team of Sally Mcilwrick and Kendall Burton-Evans, they provide an incredibly well thought out platform which engages children and encourages them to collect stickers and certificates along the way, tracking their personal progress and completing a specially designed award scheme.
