Our Fab Four Favourite Products

Posted on: June 2nd, 2016 by Katie Fitzpatrick No Comments

It would seem that good things come in four’s at the moment as we share with you our four favourite printed items, as voted for by your Print Angels:

1. ‘Tri’ Folded Brochures – Rather than choosing a regular DL (1/3 A4) size folded leaflet, ‘tri’ something new and switch to an A5 or even A4 folded brochure.  The A5 trifold brochures are available in landscape too so when fully opened, it’ll provide you with a great space to place panoramic photographs or an overview of your products. Our A4 folded brochures are more cost effective than stapled brochures and quantities can start as low as 100!

2. Pen Perfection – We’re certain that these writing devices are ‘write’ up your street because they’re our best sellers. Further more, this curvy & sturdy style pen looks great when printed with a silver logo or text. For a more executive-looking pen, a ‘midnight black’ is also available at no extra cost.

3. Business Card Bonanza – They’re back and mean business! Our business cards are as popular as ever. Now with extra finishes to choose from such as soft-touch laminate (oohhhh it feels furry), our standard matt laminate (silky smooth) and coloured-core (funky fresh). Shine like a star with our Spot UV range, which can now be applied to both sides. Want to look super-fly? Then our super thick cards are just the ticket. For samples and advice, call the Print Angels on 01332 418377.

4. CupTastic – Get in the hands of your clients with our brand new range of takeaway cups. Avoid nasty accidents and sticky keyboards, with these light weight, durable and reusable receptacles. Have the best of both worlds; they are double-walled so your drink can stay hot or cold whilst remaining comfortable to hold.

We’re full of bright ideas so if you’d like find out how our fab four can work for you, or if you’d like a price on another printed product, call the Print Angels; Lindsey, Katie or Yvonne on 01332 418377.

Awesome Foursome

Posted on: June 1st, 2016 by Katie Fitzpatrick No Comments

As you may know, Essential Print Services is celebrating five fantastic years helping businesses market themselves with creative and cost-effective print solutions.

When Print Evangelist Yvonne Gorman, started the business in 2011, in no time at all, the company was able to recruit it’s first full-time employee and after two years Yvonne took out a lease on her own Pride Park premises.

Today we’re excited to introduce to you the new Essential Print Services team, The Awesome Foursome:

Yvonne said; “We talk to businesses not only about printing but also about how they plan to distribute promotional items such as business cards, leaflets and brochures. Having hundreds left over in a cupboard doesn’t help anyone. We also add value by spotting opportunities for our clients – if you need help with something other than printing simply get in touch. We have a vast database of trusted contacts.”

Lindsey said; “We take pride in providing customers with high quality printed products. We also like to come up with creative alternatives for businesses who are looking for something a little out of the ordinary – whether this be with promotional products, seasonal mailers, or personalised items. If you have an idea for a printed product – no matter how quirky – give us a call and we’ll bring your idea to life!”

Katie said; “Going above and beyond comes naturally to us at Essential Print Services. We are always looking for opportunities to WOW our clients. Whether you need a print ASAP or you are struggling to find the perfect printed product for your business, we are always delighted to help. If you fancy some new stationary or promotional material, get in touch to see what we can do for you.”

The team is also passionate about making business fun and helping local charities. During their fifth birthday month in April they gave a ‘high five’ to every office visitor and donated £1 each time to the Maria Hanson Foundation, raising £138 in total.

Lee, the ‘Artwork Avenger’ said: “Getting your brand out there and under the noses of potential customers is vital to any business, so making sure you do it right is essential.”

“I love running a business and even more so with a team who are just as enthusiastic about print and service as I am. With pride, passion and print, it’s onwards and upwards for Essential Print Services.” Yvonne concluded.

Customer Journey

There are many avenues you might come across us. You may have visited our website or have seen our office located in Pride Park, near Derby Arena. A friend may have recommended us or you might have bumped into one of our Angels out and about and got chatting!

So, what are you to expect on your journey with us? We have created a list of steps to show you how we work and how your order process will unfold.  This is so you know exactly how we function and what to expect next!

When you have an idea of what you would like to print, pop it in an email or give us a ring. We will compile some ideas together and email you a quote. If you have no idea – don’t worry – get in touch and we’ll do the thinking for you!

If you are happy with your quote and would like to proceed, we would now move on to the artwork. If you have artwork ready, send it over to us and we will create a proof for you using our trusty 12 point check. If you are stuck for ideas or need artwork creating, our design team is on hand to create something fabulous for you.

Once we have artwork, you will need you to approve it before it goes to print. We will do our very best to point out any mistakes because we want your order to be as perfect as possible.

Once your artwork is approved, it is sent to print and we will email you an invoice. This will need to be paid before delivery or upon collection, whichever suits you best! Some clients have a credit account and in that case, the job will be despatched as soon as it is checked, packed and ready.

Typically, your printing takes 5-7 working days from approval. If, however, you need a speedy job, let us know and we can arrange this for you. Some jobs can be produced the very next day so, it’s always worth an ask!

Once your order is ready we can deliver this to you or a third party address. Alternatively, you are welcome to collect from our office near Derby Arena. Customers are always welcome here, especially if you are bringing a four-legged friend with you! We love animals!

Once you have received your order we would LOVE to hear from you! Any feedback is greatly appreciated and there is nothing better than hearing back from a satisfied customer! If there is any way in which we can improve – please do let us know.

Your print journey doesn’t have to stop here! Keep an eye on our website, follow and like our social media pages or drop us a line on 01332 418377 to see what we are up to. Get involved!

When entrepreneur and print evangelist Yvonne Gorman started her business on April 1, 2011, two things she did straight away were to secure shared office space at a prestigious Pride Park address and sign up as a Marketing Derby bondholder.

Yvonne said: “I’m proud to be Derby born and bred so it was a no-brainer for me to want to shout about my city and get to know its local businesses and industries.”

In no time at all, Yvonne was able to recruit her first full-time employee, and after two years she took out a lease on her own Pride Park premises.

Today the Essential Print Services team is an awesome foursome. Yvonne has created jobs for Print Angels Lindsey Greasley and Katie Fitzpatrick and Creative Artworker, Lee Johnson.

Yvonne said: “We’re like a print consultancy. We talk to businesses not only about printing but also about how they plan to distribute promotional items such as business cards, leaflets and brochures. Having hundreds left over in a cupboard doesn’t help anyone.”

Yvonne is also passionate about making business fun and helping local charities. During their fifth birthday month in April the team gave a ‘high five’ to every office visitor and donated £1 each time to the Maria Hanson Foundation.

“I love running a business in an incredible city and with pride, passion & print, it’s onwards and upwards for me, the team and for Derby,” she said.

Derby Printer takes on Charitable Challenge

Ramathon’s print sponsor, Essential Print Services based in Pride Park in Derby, will be taking a morning off from running the business in order to run the Ramathon – Derby Half Marathon on Sunday 5th June – to raise money for charity.

With a team of four entered into the Team Run, the runners will be gaining the support of their friends, families and colleagues over the next 6 weeks to fundraise for the Maria Hanson Foundation, a charity based in Derby, formed to create special memories for children and adults when time is precious. The charity is self-funding, with a tiny team that is totally reliant on donations and fundraising activities.

Through the provision of holidays by the seaside in Mablethorpe, the Maria Hanson Foundation (me&dee charity) offers families who may have a loved one living with a life limiting condition and an uncertain future – the chance to spend time together. With a private beach hut, grocery vouchers and individual support for life limiting conditions, the focus is on ensuring that the time spent together is enjoyed and made memorable.

You can show your support and help the team by donating, whatever you can, to the team’s JustGiving Page.

Yvonne Gorman, owner of Essential Print Services and Print Evangelist is a Trustee of the Maria Hanson Foundation as well as a keen runner, and will be training extra hard over the next 6 weeks to maximise the fundraising potential for the charity.

Yvonne said, “I have been a supporter of the Maria Hanson Foundation for many years. Maria and the team work tirelessly to help and support hundreds of individuals and their families and friends each year and I am proud to be part of a committed team that will train hard to raise as much as possible for this important cause”.

Other members of the team include Laura Faulkner, Owner of Matchstick Design, Jim Leafe, Digital Marketing Manager at E.ON Energy, and Simon Smith, Owner of JAKT Photography. Having met Maria through an independent business support network – Hallmark Business Group – the team decided to get their heads together, put on their running shoes, and make a difference.

Maria Hanson MBE, the founder of the charity, said, “We are thrilled that Yvonne and the team have chosen to support the Maria Hanson Foundation. Having set up the charity ten years ago and since helped more than 2,000 families, it is clear that there is a real need for families and friends to get the chance to make special memories when time is limited. The money raised will have a significant impact on people who need this opportunity now and we are very grateful for their support”.

Ramathon has a charitable focus and in 2015, runners raised upwards of £75,000 – treble the amount raised in the previous year. For this year’s event, an ambitious fundraising target of over £100,000 has been set by the Ramathon team.
